OLIVIA OBINEME is a journalism student at Towson University . Along with her studies, she spends many hours at WMJF-TV, where she acts as president.
As of December 21, 2011 she became Baltimore magazine’s social media coordinator and videographer.
This past summer, she participated in the Poynter Institute College Fellowship, where she was one of 22 students chosen for the intense and exciting program.
Olivia aspires to become a multimedia journalist, in which she does not stick to one medium to tell a story. She sees that the ways of communicating information with the rest of the world is ever-changing and makes sure to stay ahead of the game.
Journalism is her passion–getting answers to the toughest questions have always given her an adrenaline rush. Integrating that with video, audio or photos would make her life complete.
She enjoys helping people, laughing, fashion, running, playing volleyball, cooking, sketching, and spending time with family and friends during her spare time.
The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dreams shall never die.”
