If I had a quarter for every time someone told me to have a website of my own to show my work, I’d be able to pay off my student loans –okay, not really, but I’d have a lot of quarters.

It’s mind-boggling, taking a look at so many personal sites of my peers, professionals and even some of my professors –there are just so many of them and trying to be original from all that is the biggest challenge.

How can I stand out?

But, it hit me. I should put all that aside. The whole point of this “portfolio” is to have a place to show my work…to show who I am. Originality will come as the site grows.

So, that’s what I’m going to do. I think it’s certainly okay to combine my portfolio with blog posts about what goes on in the world of Olivia. No, nothing too personal on here, but if it’s something I think is worth sharing with all of you –I’ll share it.
